Our story

Virgin Cosmetics is made with meraki — the Greek word for doing something with soul and love. Plant-based cosmetics made in Athens, in small batches, by Ramona Rus.

From the herbs of the Carpathians

Ramona grew up in Romania, near the Carpathian mountains, where herbs were part of everyday life. From there she carries the knowledge and love of plants that later became her work.

To our Athens workshop

In Athens she began making plant-based cosmetics, at first for herself and the people close to her. Over time the recipes became a collection: face creams, serums, body and hair care, perfumes and home fragrances.

Our philosophy

• Vegan: most of our products are vegan.
• Cruelty-free: we use raw materials that are not tested on animals, in line with Article 18 of Regulation (EC) 1223/2009.
• Zero waste: packaging made of glass and “green” sugarcane plastic, much of it refillable.
• Handmade Greek production: small batches, with care at every step.
